BRAIDED PONYTAIL ESSENTIALS
There are two products you need to make a braided ponytail last: a dry shampoo to give your hair some texture and a strong hold hairspray to finish the look. These are our picks:
STEP 1
PART YOUR HAIR
Starting with freshly washed and blow-dried hair, create a neat center parting using the end of a pintail comb. Then, choose which side you want your braid to appear on; the right or the left, depending on what suits you best. On the chosen side, mist your dry shampoo through the lengths for grippy texture.
STEP 2
CREATE A BRAID
The braid comes before the ponytail. Make like our model and create a Dutch braid on one side of your head by splitting the front section of hair into three pieces. Cross the left section under the middle, cross the right section under the middle, and repeat from the front to the crown of the head, adding more hair into the braid as you go.
STEP 3
PULL INTO A PONY
Once your braid trails from the front to the back of your head, secure with a clear elastic, before sweeping all hair up into a high braided ponytail.
