Step by step
How to use
1. Wash and Pre-dry
Shampoo the hair, twice if needed. Do not use conditioner. Pre-dry until hair is 80% dry.
2. APPLICATION
Apply the Smoothfiller product evenly with a brush. Stay 0.5cm away from the scalp. Develop for 20 min. Do not cover the hair, do not use heat.
3. RINSE
Emulsify and rinse. Rinse until no foam is seen, do not overrinse. Do not use a conditioner.
4. THERMAL ACTIVATION
Blow dry hair smooth until it’s 100% dry. Straighten the hair with a straightening iron in small sections, repeat 6 – 12 passes per section. The evenness of the heat and consistency is important.

Choose heat based on hair structure: In the case of virgin hair or resistant hairtype: - Fine hairtype 180°C or 355°F – Medium hairtype: 180–210°C or 355–410°F – Coarse/Resistant hairtype: 230°C or 445°F. In the case of colored and sensitized hair: Fine sensitized hair: 180°C or 355°F – Medium sensitized hair: 180–210°C or 355–410°F – Coarse sensitized hair: 210–230°C or 410–445°F. Not recommended for extremely sensitized fine to medium hairtypes. Coarse extremely sensitized hair; use 180–210°C or 355–410°F.
THERMAL ACTIVATION / PASSES
The number of passes is determined by the desired transformation. For soft results or frizz reduction, do from 6 to 8 passes. For maximum smoothness, we recommend from 10 to 12 passes. You may customize the number of passes if hair lengths are more sensitized or previously treated. I.e. more passes on roots vs. ends.

After Thermal activation step, the Smoothfiller service is ready. The hair may appear static after the Smoothfiller service. Use oil or hairspray as a finishing step. Smoothfiller may shift the color into lighter or warmer direction. The hair can be colored with Color Touch directly after the service. Color results might be less intense than usual.
